Since 2000 I started creating content on the web. I mentioned it in the first post of this blog: the internet immediately seemed to me to be a place where I could be a protagonist and not just a spectator as happens in other means of communication such as TV and newspapers. In those cases there is one-way communication: we suffer the contents, we cannot choose them, modify them, much less influence them. It is with the internet that, finally, the user has the possibility of stimulating the production of content, because thanks to interactions we can understand the needs and tastes of our readers. Today I want to talk about what I understood about creating online content and how I worked.
Content marketing is not improvisation When creating content online, we cannot improvise. My first experience in content marketing dates back to 2000, when I started designing my own Phone Number Data collecting site. It was very niche, because I would have talked about a specific collection. The first step was to analyze the "market": what did the network say about that collection? Little or nothing. So I found a gap in that niche and decided to fill it. I wrote targeted texts about the collection and my site quickly became a guide for collectors. Extending the concept to the workplace, a content marketing strategy must include: a mother site that represents the company or freelancer a company blog to create themed content SEO activities on the site and blog a social media presence personal branding operations Content marketing is content creation The term itself says it: content marketing.
You can't do content marketing without creating it. But writing and publishing content is additional work and I see it every day, every time I have to write for my two blogs and create content for social media. A book could be written about how to create content. But something can be said based on my experience. A strategy that allowed me to obtain greater appreciation in terms of comments and shares. Differentiate the contents : dare, experiment, because this is also what the blog is for. We cannot remain anchored to the same old posts, but we must always create something new.
